I have to place bags on my mirrors each day and night when I am not driving because they peck on my mirrors. Yesterday they broke my neighbors on both sides never happen before so I guess there are more in my area this year

A couple of nice-looking units there, troy. No wonder the birds' peck at them.

Thanks I keep the others in my garage and I keep my boat covered because they hit it hard every morning and I have to wash it down before I uncover it to go out. It’s never been this bad before

This is what it looks like and it’s a cardinal

Didn't have that problem in Belhaven Troy. They been watching Alfred Hitcock movies or something?
Would it be that they are seeing their reflection and that's a territorial thing or breeding thing

Have never seen Cardinals being aggressive like that...

They do it here also but since I put some small convex stick on mirrors on my truck mirrors, I think it scares them seeing a fat red bird in the mirror. 😁😁😁

We have a lot more then normal this year. Haven't seen them pecking the mirrors yet.
I'm going to guess once mating season is over they wont's be so aggressive but you might try securing a small container of oil/vaseline mixed with cayenne pepper on top mirror. They hate cayenne pepper. Or maybe tape a matchbox with the pepper there. You get the idea!
I have a bunch of doves, and now pigeons starting to congregate behind my garage because neighbor insists on spreading seed all over. I mix a water bottle 2/3 water, 1/3 vinegar and a tsp of chili powder. They don't hang out on my side of the fence anymore!!!
That's some serious shine on that truck. What do you use?
