Maybe try a grid system, where the top of the box is divided into 8 sections and the side into 4 or 5. Then, you can pop in different sized boxes/dividers into that grid, so you can mix and match for the size you need. Theoretically, it can be as open or as divided as you need. I've had some experiences in the past with "modular" tackleboxes that just refuse to fit a lure without bending the wire, so the flexibility I described could be a good solution to that.


You could also include some specialized modules that you could pop into those same points on the grid, such as a module to hold down a lure to help someone learn to tie a knot for instance.


You could also have the larger containers snap together externally and fit into a bag, so you can select the equipment you would want for the day, snap it together, and throw it in the bag. It's easy, simple, and flexible.

I've been fishing for about a year, mostly panfish and small trout, 10 inch bass, things like that. Last night I caught a pretty large (to me at least) bass, but then after that I had five separate times where a fish would bite, put up a strong fight for a few seconds, and snap my line. I saw two of them under the water and they were at least 18+ inches, possibly bass again or suckers.


I'm using the standard, cheapest line from Dick's sporting goods. Do I need to upgrade? Or do my knot-tying skills just suck? I tried finding the knot I use on Google images and don't see it, so maybe that's the case. And if so, any suggestions?
