I hate to one up you but I have been at it for over 70 yrs. first head boat was the Mayflower out of Sheepshead Bay ! Remember the days no size restrictions, no bag limits, and $5.00 charge to board. Now that was the GOOD old days !!

coming up on 71 years and fishing about 65 catching most of those with 15 years as a charter captain on lake Michigan and 19 years as a bass tournament fisherman. If you want to be really humbled take up tournament fishing against these young guns coming up . gotta hand it to them they are really something.

Wonder how you like it not being a boat owner. I'm 69 love being on the water really love being on the water and fishing!! Thinking of selling my boat as well. Retired about 9 months ago and concerned about the expenses. Don't have to get rid of it but the ol money situation changed and keep thinking about selling.

77 here and you are right about still learning. The man who thinks he knows all there is to know has stopped learning what he doesn't know.

Old timers club is a great idea. Could have a boating pool, kinda like a car pool too.
I am guessing we are all from very different areas of the country though. :)
