Background talking to someone earlier today and he mentioned a buddy of his (always a friend of a friend) was using this new line that what he said is expensive but that’s debatable however he couldn’t remember what the line was called he said it wasn’t mono, braid, or even fluorocarbon I couldn’t believe I personally think it’s maybe a new line that’s just been improved but I might be wrong, anyone ever heard of something like this?

Thanks for reading,

Ibclyde, you probable still would have ran out ot bait. This time of the year, it is hard to catch decent walleye. Good job, Clyde!

I fish Walleyes on Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin regularly
I always drag or bounce the bottom
It’s the only way I fish but I work transition areas adjacent to reefs not strictly deep water
I like jigs tipping with half a crawler
Crawler harness
Erie Dearies
Lindy rigs

Matter of fact I’m heading out shortly
Caught 12 two days ago using that exact technique

For the money go with an UglyStick. They are durable
For a few bucks more go with a St Croix.
Better quality and more sensitive
Their entry level series start at about a hundred bucks
They make some two piece rods which are great for a kayak

I’m stubborn
If I have had good luck in one spot I will spend too much time with that area especially if I have even marginal success.
But... I think you are sometimes better off scouting for options such as I did yesterday for Walleyes.
Spent 3 hours in the honey hole caught a few
Moved to a new spot, ran out of time AND bait and caught more and better quality fish!
If I would have moved sooner who knows...
