Shimano makes a very good quality spinning reel with a trigger. Its great on its on and also a good transition to conventional spinning reels. It worked for my wife and daughters.
OK thanks. Full reel, so how much is left on the spool?
Thank You but I'm using mono like a dinosaur and a range finder would probly cost me more than a line counter. When I tried using the football field I foul hooked a linebacker and had to release him, he was under sized anyway but part of a big school!

Thanks for the offer Ben, but I'm gonna keep workin on it. Got a few youtubes to look at.
I wonder if there is any good way to know when you've taken +/-100 yds off so you can fill all 3 reels so you don"t end up with 150,150 and 30:{
If a line counter is the only way, then are there any reasonably priced ones that work?
Thanks!

Do you trailer yer boat (aluminum fishing type) cover on or off and with gear in or out?
I'm new but not.
Run the line thru a big book.
