My personal best was 179 lb bluefin tuna. Caught on a mackerel salami on a penn 30 w 2 speed, 8/0 gorilla circle hook with 80 lb braid, and 100 lb fluorocarbon leader. That sucker pinned me on the rail for two hours...I never got up the nerve to try it again, that was hard work....
Have you ever considered building a custom rod for her? Makes it real personable. Companies like Mudhole or Netcraft sell purple blanks with all types of actions...
Hello everyone!!! New to the forum, but avid about fishing whenever I can get out, fresh or salt. I’ve had mixed bag results on both wet and oily attractants, but what puzzles me most is that neither is very consistent. I’ve used one attractant on a trip and had consistent hookups, go back a week later with the same setup and get ZERO, ZIP, NADA....very frustrating....was targeting catfish
