Are you saying you lied to the pope? Not the way you write about him here.

You got a belly laugh on that one from me Frank

I for one had a great time at the NE M/G. Got to meet some great friends from the stage. The high light of my summer was July 10th when my grandson Jameson Brien Koehnle was born. Plum I hope you have a blast with Troy and Gordon but please try and not spend to much time at the still đŸ€Ș. I hope y'all have a great weekend and a relaxing Labor day you've earned it 😊

Staying away from the Still isn't a problem Whitey, rumor has it from Mrs T something about new locks on the shed and Troy put the hinges on the outside.

Troy is up to something.

Good one here from the Gmchief and a great way to start off the month as we near the end of summer knowing many of us have once again developed Real and Reel Friends over the past few months.

Any one care to express their summer high light?

For me it was the East Coast M&G. Got to spend family time with Terry and Dee, met some new FS members, increased my fish count at Bald Eagle, and making plans to hook up with Troy and Gordon.

Cast in some fairly good health and Yes, summer was good.

Excellent Cartoon!! So very true about your close friends. A lot of “ acquaintances” but only a very small and I mean small number of “True Friends “!!

The high light or should I say low light was being forced to move out of the house my wife and I lived in for almost 30 years. Also the house she passed away in. Our original landlord passed away 2 months after my wife and his kids inherited it but had no idea or want to be a landlord, they just wanted to sell it for the money. I'm OK now but that sucked. I find it funny that 5 months later nothing has been done to the house according to my former neighbors.

So sorry to read this Bc. Sad enough to loose your wife but to be told to get out so soon after is just the most devious act one could imagine against another healing from a loss of a loved one.

I hope the fond memories of those 30 years are helping you daily cope with your loss and just maybe what goes around comes around on the kids that told you vacate.

Great post Plum to start the month. My highlight was a cruise with my youngest son and his family. My grandsons had PawPaw on the move. We travel to Spain Rome and Italy. Visit the Pope and while in Rome we visit where Paul was in prison. Amazing how they have preserved the times of Jesus on Earth. I am looking forward to Plum visit. We have never met but we have talked on the phone a few times. My highest point of life in general is becoming a member of FS. A great group of friends who show as well have shown love and caring. People who have compassion. We are FAMILY.

Hey Troy, I didn’t get a chance to meet the Pope, but he did wave to me! That’s my hand in the pic!

High light of my summer was an overnight visit from Jim Sargent and friend Cindy. I don’t get visitors much and it was a real treat for me.

Mike took us to an outstanding Mexican restaurant and fed us a home cooked breakfast as well as a night time trip to a beautiful park for stargazing. A very pleasant visit.
