A 10 inch worm is a big offering. But good luck.

I fished for LMB a couple days earlier this week and after 12:30pm, I tapped out because of the heat. Could see fish on the scope but they were not interested in anything I was offering. So in my case, too hot for the fisherman, and the fish were chilling in the 82° water.

I've never caught anything when it was over 100 degrees.
...mostly because I wasn't out there fishing!

Hello Castqueen. I fished the Florida panhandle last week. Hot! The surface water temp in every lake I fished was at least 83 degrees & most lakes were shallow. I did poorly. I really liked 1 lake & I had my boat on the water by 6 am. I caught fish. I would throw a watermelon red dinger in the grass & work it slow. I also.caught fish on top water around weed beds. What a great week last week was. This week I am sitting at home in a chair with shingles on my face. What a drastic change of activity. It's 104 degrees outside with a heat index of 111. That's hot enough to keep me off the lake. Tight lines.

Hi Castqueen. If the temp got up to 125 degrees someone would claim to be catching fish. That person is not a fisherman. Ask any forum member & he/she will tell you fisherman don't lie. It's cooling off here & the morning temp will be in the 60"s for the next few days. Be on the water by daylight & fish til you're sweating then go another hour. If I could I'd be on lake Eucha or Hudson for the next few mornings. Unfortunately this face full of shingles has me tied down. The good thing is it's temporary. Tight lines.
