Funny how I look at each picture and a different memory pops in. Nostalgia, very good med for the heart.
Perhaps that is why it has become so meaningful to me. Thanks Plum.
Those are all good memories Wulffy but I guess it’s showing our ages. I’ll bet a lot of the younger stagers have no clue
Never was exposed to Mercurachrome as we used Hydrogen Peroxide to clean, then used Johnson’s First Aid Cream. Went through a LOT of both. My neighbors used the red stuff, but they had more money 😉

Remember every single one brother.
You could be your own TV repair man 👍.
I have n a vivid memory of the drive in theater speaker.
N.C. drive in near Jacksonville.
3 drunk Marines.
Got up next morning with a big knot on my head.
None of us remembered how I got it.
Later in the day we decided to hit Jville.
Looked in the backseat n saw the sob that hit me in the head.

The phone reminded me of something that confounded me during I career as an Optometrist. I had a childrens projector slide of pictures rather than letters. One of the characters was that of the rotary dial telephone.
I would project the images from the chart on the screen and ask the child to tell what the pictures were. This was in 80's thru 2018. Mind you, I am talking about kids 3 -5 years old. They would look at the phone image and answer,PHONE! I would turn to Mom and ask how they knew that , the usual answer was, I have no idea .

Well back during that time children's play phones were rotary phones. Some might still be, IDK.

I remember all of these. The 2 that really stick out to me are the phone, ours was connected to a party line, never knew who all was listening in on your conversations. And the tube tester, my uncle had a smaller version in his basement where he would repair radios and tvs after his normal job to make extra money for his family.

Thank you for bringing back those memories. Those were the good days. I liked the googling one and telephone ones the best. 🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅
I never minded the Mercurochrome. I always thought the Merthiolate and Iodine burned worse.. 🔥 Mom usually had a good supply of all three!!

Nah, don't remember any of them. Must be a bunch of really old people here on this Stage.
What were we talking about?

Bc did you ever see the operators at the big switchboard?
We lived across the street from the phone company in hometown.
How those girls switched all those lines around as fast as they did fascinated me at the time 👍
