During the warm and hot weather I use the automatic. If the weather is heavy or it's cold I use a Mustang float coat.
I'm just used to the auto due to the nature of my work, they are light, not bulky, and allow freedom of movement of my arms, hands and I can turnaround and look down to see where my next step is.

Bigmark have you ever just got in the water to try it out?
A few yrs ago I was reading about them.
Some had a habit of rolling unconscious people over n ending up face down 👍

No, never made it to the water. I fell one morning around 03:30 because of captain error. I landed on the launch instead of the water. I use the Mustang in any case for the simple reason that brand is used by the Coast Guard.

I don't remember the brand.
Maybe they fixed the problem by now.
