I was throwing a 4.8" Keitech on an Trokar under spin weighted hook. The under spin ticks the rocks n lets me know I'm at depth but the design works well at not getting hung up in the rugged structure out there. I was getting fish between 13" to nearly keepers. I don't enjoy bait fishing. Im all about the chuck n wind an cover water.

Wow, I'm just not familiar with that area. You're almost right underneath the bridge.

It's rugged and beautiful out there. You're walking rocks the whole time, and they can get really slippery - but it is rewarding in the beauty, solitude, and connection with nature and the water. Seals swimming by, Harbor Porpoises sometimes. I love getting out there a few times a year to get my line wet. If you time the tides wrong you'll be doing a little wading to get out to or back from the bridges and the Maritime Academy. Huge tankers, barges, etc. going by all add to the wonder of it. I go out and house sit for my mother in law usually several times a year and fish there. I always look forward to it.

Late post, but last week I got my PB striper. This beast put up a good fight. Got him on freshly caught grass shrimp(in a minnow trap) and anchovy combo. It actually put up a good fight too. 28 inches and pretty heavy, didn’t get an exact weight.

Very nice striper Lando. I’m sure he put up a good fight and will be some good eating too. Thanks for sharing.

OK, I know where you are now anyway. Don't know how you get down there to the water though.
However, I have fished shore fished around the corner upriver in that state park for salmon before.

There is a shore line trail heading out from the Glenn Cove Marina and club house. Its part of the carquinez strait shoreline trail. I'm not sure on the parking situation there as I am always in the neighborhood above house sitting. I'm sure there is probably a street nearby as most of them have access to the trail.

Yup! That’s my stomping grounds. I personally prefer going to the other side of the marina and walking the trail away from the bridge, but I have noticed all the sizable fish closer to the bridge! Also there is public parking there at the marina outside the gate.
