Thanks lots, friend! Catchin 4 keepers in a 40 minute period in the middle of a hot, sunny morning is just too awesome!

Nice pome, Mike, and as you mentioned, the heat is definitely on.
Still sounds like early bite is off, but I can't convince myself to go out later due to the humility... I mean humidity, Ha!
Is anyone night fishing, and if so, are they catching anything?
I'm not set up for that at the moment.

Thanks, bud. Yessir, I visited with a guy on Friday who fishes nighttime regularly. Uses a black spinnerbait faithfully. No worms. Who doesn't fish worms at night?? That's kooky talk!

Dadgum! I may have a bad case of PUJS, though. Pantera Upgrade Jealousy Syndrome. Looks like your ignition doesn't sit directly above control buttons below throttle. Aggravating design, mine is.
Thanks for sharing BCB brother!

On left of wheel which is easy access just be careful with extra deckhands not to bang into it on waves and break it. I agree want the key ready accessible for sure.

You know how I feel about fisheratin. There are little things that aggravate me about my old rig, but I don't whine (out loud) and just relish the fact I get to fish at all. Would a pushbutton start be fun? Sure, but that's just one more 'lectronical thing to mess up.

You can easily update and have a key or push button for sure but it is one more thing.

If it’s a huge lake system or Bay / Ocean there usually is salt to cause issues but every five years or so a 20$ button or key.

I update the switch ( key / push for choke etc ) if and when think it’s going to act up. Auto parts stores carry them cheap.

I get it though. Gotta put helm control in N on some controls for key to turn/ push for choke… takes experience. The boat in picture Dash loom goes to dash. When key is in controls it can be removed and just drill a hole in dash relocate with new switch/key socket.

I think putting the foot control IN the deck was my last big remodel of this old boat. She's 33 years old. I'm over twice that. Nuff's enuff.

Awesome. I love old boats. NoHurry is my current favorite of my boats. It is a 1968. Once a found it and knew it was my same age I was even more infatuated with it. 1967 Bearcat55 4cylinder 4 cycle from the 1960’s. Cast iron everything. No cylinder head no cylinder head gaskets. No dissimilar metals no bolts to stretch or corrode.

You had to of seen Bearcat55 motors on the lake back when you were there before. They were ahead of their time for sure. 5 hours in gear at idle on 1 gallon of gasoline. Boston Whaler owner bought all rights to them long time ago. Fischer Pierce

Funny when you look at the motors everyone say Fisher-Price… so yeah it’s a toy. Heck yeah.

I just pray they don't outlaw these environment-destroying 🙄 gasoline motors before I get off the lake for the last time.

Odds are you can run it in some places still. It’s usually in smaller drinking water supply that have experienced wildlife problems or dissolved chemicals and dissolved Carbon Monoxide another gasses that are trapped can’t dissipate. If has high volume in and out or huge waterbody it usually gets put on back burner.

If you are hinting about 2 stroke some are super clean now. The laws usually change to reduce or eliminate NEW production. Old and new 2 cycles have much less to go wrong and are the easiest to keep thumping with very simple maintenance. Modern 4 cycles are spendy and if something goes wrong after warranties it going to be a lot more to go wrong. All my outboards are 2 cycle except for the 2 Bearcat55s I have.

Some lakes here only allow electric ( solar panel roof eliminates fuel tanks or gas bill and fire hazards ) some don’t allow any propulsion besides hand except for emergency equipment in emergency.

I use to take little Livingston Dingy with oars on a little reservoir here and put tiny 12v outboard on stern. Just through my camo jackets over the little motor.

Some nut job chased me down and freaked on the road for miles telling me I wasn’t allowed to use it. Just park and keep motor barely going for troll. It was more about erosion due to drinking water than anything on this small reservoir. Most of Reservoir relied on ma made dyke.
