I usually go waterfowling when there is ice in my fishing spots but it was a mild winter here in NJ this year so I went fishing instead and caught and released more than 1,000 fish in January and February.

Does your name mean you have 219 bands

When I first started blogging on Myspace in 2006, I had 219 bird bands.

That it was a mild one NJ here too. However that 2nd pic sends some chills down my back and it's 86* here.

Ii also have an addiction. Fishing is my drug of choice! And I love the adrenaline rush when I feel that fish bite! I keep that line tight patiently waiting for that bite! I'm a fish bite junkie!!! Are there FA meetings out there? Hahaha

Perfect hat! A friend of mine had a custom drink tumbler made for me and it says "Fish Slayer, Fileter, Master Baiter!"

Nice Blue Ling Gina ! A short story , I had caught a big Blue Ling in the Channel Islands ,had it filleted and packed in separate vacuum bags, put em in Freezer outside, and about a month later I came home from the store and found all of them in the sink , Wife told me they were all all spoiled , she said just look at the color, they are all lite blue they are no good ! I almost had aHEART MURMUR ! Explained to her they change color to white when cooked ! She would have thrown about 12 lbs of filetted blue ling !🤙🤙

Gina, I can offer no cure for the addiction. I can, however, offer another outlet for a "fix". Winters are long here in the Northeast. I don't do ice fishing, so it's a long time between seasons. An important part of my obsession with fly fishing is fly tying. All winter long I catch fish in my head, as I work at the tying bench, restocking the flies that got chewed or lost during the past season. It helps to get past crappy weather in-season as well. If there's a hot fly working on whatever is running at the moment, you can tie up a few to pass the time until better weather comes.

There is no cure for the adiction, this suggestion just offers a balm that can help to scratch the itch.
