I have a Disorder! "OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE FISHING DISORDER!" and by the looks of it I believe everyone on the FISHING STAGE FORUM has the same disorder. So I'm not alone!
Ii also have an addiction. Fishing is my drug of choice! And I love the adrenaline rush when I feel that fish bite! I keep that line tight patiently waiting for that bite! I'm a fish bite junkie!!! Are there FA meetings out there? Hahaha

Gina, they have medicine for that. However, don't take it!!!! The side effects can be fatal such as hook in hand requiring use of un dominant hand operating pliers for removal.

As for the addiction, moderation is the cure there. Take it down a notch and your creel will still be filled to capacity.

The FA meetings are on going here in the east but called M&G get togethers. West coast just had one and more planned throughout this great land.

Well that’s all okay, but if you feel compelled to put a boat in a large puddle, or worse, want to start casting when you glance at a glass of water, then you JUST MIGHT have a compulsive fishing disorder.
Thing is, no cure, but there is one way to relieve that overwhelming urge.

Good morning Gina, you're not alone my wife has it too we can be going somewhere and she'll say you think they might be fish in that pond or ditch or we'll be watching a fishing show and she'll say is the boat ready let's go in the morning 😂 so I just count my blessings. Gina, you’ve got a ton of company on this site. My suggestion is to just keep the obsession and addiction to a slow burn. I’ll reveal step 1 of my program….fish no more than 8 days a week. If you desire to continue my program simply cast me a personal message.

A couple of two day follow ups? In other words for the working stiffs that means fish the weekend. I’m in Idaho doing it. I tried a few places the other day. Today I’m trying a third location and tomorrow another. So even with the fishing addiction variety is the spice of life.
