Thanks for the commentary Fix - it takes some courage to post that on a forum where you can anticipate some significant backlash. I generally refuse to participate in the partisan political bickering that has come to define this nation, but it should be pretty obvious to everyone that both sides consistently manipulate the "facts" in an effort to support their current position and "win" - despite the actual implications for the country or the citizens.

It's a systemic/structural problem, more than a failing or character flaw in (most of) the individuals we choose to govern.

I think that we all need to calm down and really take the time to realistically evaluate what’s going on in our nation. Personally I do not think that things will be turning towards the positive. As much as I love this country having known that that my father served proudly as a Marine and lost two uncles in the Viet Nam conflict. I wonder what it was all lost for! As a second generation American of Italian decent I am taking my entire family to Italy next month and looking for property. I will sell my home in California be fore I get hit with the reappreciation taxes. I will take both of my daughters who are private school teachers both with masters degrees that I paid for! No Biden compensation for me! I will live in a nation that appreciates their culture! When I take my three million from my house sale! I will laugh to the bank! FYI. Bought it fir 125grand. 63 soldiers died during the Trump administration, actually. And the very first one wasn't in Afghanistan, it was in Yemen. Waaaay too many that dispute your claim, to even bother telling you who confirmed that number.....you have Google, use it.
There's even several references of Trump admitting that he hated signing "condolence letters" to the families of fallen soldiers, because there would be evidence that they died "on his watch".

Do you suppose there were complaints in this country about the way we were treated by KING GEORGE and England before the American Revolution and the Declaration of independence and our Constitution was written? You don't want to hear dissension. You don't believe n free speech, you want all conversations apposed to you and yours shut down like what is happening in all universities and this country. FREE men have a right to speak. Now in Russia, China North Korea and Iran to name a few they don't have the right to speak out. In North Korea they will go back 8 generations and punish them all for someone currently speaking out. We are not there yet, but heading that way with Government agencies like the FBI, JUSTICE DEPT and others covering up crimes and going after decent.
