The treaty with the Taliban was signed 2/29/2020. We were locked in. Karzi was not consulted. Karzi ran, his army folded. We had to get our allies out too. The whole thing was a mistake from the day we went in. The Saudis were the bombers. The only good thing, the Taliban used our weapons on ISIS.

As clearly stated by Fred, the U.S. left Afghanistan on August 30, 2021. That provided over 7 months for the Biden administration to prepare for and exit Afghanistan.

Well said!!! and how about all the US citizens left behind and the Afghanistan's who were interpreters for us. They and their families were left behind running for their lives to not be slaughtered. How about all the huge number of our War dogs left behind. The department of state stopped a private firm with airplane from landing and taking them out. those poor animals most likely have been Table Fare. That particular point really bothers me.
