White meat rainbow trout in Washington lakes are usually fairly fresh plants. As different from Kokanee and cutthroat as apples and oranges.

Nice catch Jeep. I hit the salt a ways south for the ling opener this last weekend. Got some big Greenling and just under size lingcod, but no keepers.

A boat or kayak is the main ticket.. however bank fishing on the east side along the frontage road for trout or bass is were I see folks.. most other places are private..

Beauties! ...and they look great on the grill too! Is Lake Samish stocked or are those beauties indigenous?

As I understand it.. the Kok's are planted once a year, but spawning does occur .. the cutthroat are native..
