You got it Wulffy. Nice job. I was in a hurry, had to watch my GS take 4th place in his mile race (8 th grade) . Not bad for a kid who ran the race for the third time. Came in a few seconds short of 6 minutes.

I was a whole lot better at swim meets than I was at baseball. Calling balls and strikes wasn't my strong point. I could place finish 6 kids from one side of the pool, but it was tough calling balls and strikes sometimes. And then there were the parents......

So I am guessing the thought may be, not to give anyone the power of control of another.

I believe what it is sayin ,"don't let your emotions empower your intelligence" means is simply to not let your emotions CONTROL your way of thinkin .
