Hey guys newbie lister here. I’m retired north of Boise. I learned how to fish mostly as a kid in Texas but I never really understood the pleasure of fishing until I learned how to fly fish on the Henry’s Fork in Eastern Idaho. My wife is from Idaho Falls and I’d visit her parents as much as possible to go fishing.
I’m not a snob fly fisherman either I don’t care if I’m fly fishing or in a boat spinning for bass as long as I have a fishing rod in my hand. The problem with fly fishing is you can’t drink a beer while fishing, I have to wait till afterwards! But when summer comes the rivers are high so I migrate to the golf course. Another sport you can drink beer while playing. Isn’t life great!! Anyway I’ll be seeing you all on the forum. I’m retired military (4 years enlisted Air Force 30 years Naval engineer after college) and I’ve just learned euro nymphing and that’s a great way to fish!!!
