DVL gets its water from Norther CA through the State Water Project. The 444 mile aqueduct delivers water to the Inland Feeder and Eastside pipeline into DVL. Not to worry SoCal as I'm sure as soon as the Spring run off begins DVL will get filled to capacity. Just don't expect me to fetel bad that your water levels are a little low right now. I don't ever see any of you being outraged by my lake levels in July and August because of all the water sent South. Frankly, any complaining from you all is ridiculous.

My understanding is that after releasing 2 million salmon, he cut water flow to sent water south. After spending the money and resources to spawn and raise them, they should release enough water to get them to the ocean. Even if we cannot fish for them, let's get the salmon back to reasonable numbers.

The issue is when they release the salmon we now have thousands of stripers in the Sacramento River system that love salmon fry.

Not to be political, but water and water control will be and is governments best tool to control us minions.
Remember, who controls the water has complete control.
History has taught us that challenging lesson, to many examples.

Understood my friend. But in reality this is a very serious issue. For one, if we ever lose the delta system all of California will suffer! Not just fishermen and fisherwomen. I’m just asking that all of us not to be blinded by the light. Climate anomalies have gone on for centuries. California has more water storage reservoirs than any state in the nation. What more can we do? More reservoirs ? Restrict our fishing opportunities or seasons. My fishing license cost me 60 dollars this year, highest in the nation!

If you don't think that Southern California will take water from other areas by hook or by crook, just ask the farmers who used to live in the Owens Valley.

California doesn't manage anything right. Utah does. I get fewer fishing trips but quality and quantity abound. My opinion

Looks like good rock skiing conditions.

You are right my friend. But the snow coverage was relatively still good on the upper mountain. When we got off the mountain we stopped at the pro shop. They were about to close. Saw a great pair of unused demo fat skis.I looked at them earlier in the season. Going for 12 hundred with quality bindings. He told me I can have for $500. As they were turning off the lights and we were walking out I casually said I’ll give u $300. He bit. Best deal I’ve ever gotten. Plus he stayed and adjusted my boots to the bindings for free!!!!

Don't know what's going on down there . In the middle of the state our lakes are filling and they are having to release water.

No problem bro... the water issue is very complicated. On top of all the issues there is flood control. Twice in my life I've helped friends tear down and rebuild homes destroyed by broken levees. Where we live you have to buy flood insurance separate and it is very expensive. Most folks don't have it so the effect and costs associated with a flood are very high. That's why they can't just hold all the rain water run off. They have to take into account a super warm Spring that melts all the snow in a couple of weeks instead of months. You know things are out of control now that we have farmers making more money selling their water than raising crops. I feel your pain on the fishing issue but DVL is a high priority drinking reservoir so you'll be fishing soon.

I'll tell you one guy who knows where the water is going...Nestle. Not good.
Owns 67 water companies , 11 in North America alone.
Spokesperson quoted as saying "Human beings don't deserve water."
They want to buy it all up and make us pay more than we already do.
Look that company up and see how much you have in your house right now you didn't know he owns. You'll be surprised. Perrier, Poland Spring, etc.
People got pissed he bought Poland Spring so he had a different company which he owns 80% stock of buy it.
This is the only company I get on my high horse about.
