Yep I got one last week
Looked real from USPS
Wife said click on senders email address to find out. Sure enough it wasn’t from post office but some scrambled address. Daughter said they say you have a package with postage due. Send money, credit card number accepted for the package.
Some people pay. Easy money for scammers.
It’s gotten so bad I delete stuff I don’t recognize
Good luck

Had a guy call me, not from India, said that I needed to pay for the small tv that I bought, which I did buy and I don’t know how he knew that I bought it from a shopping channel, he was rude and said that I wasn’t cooperating with him. He wanted me to pay over the phone with a check, I told him to send me the bill through the mail. He just hung up.

Have you all been getting a lot of emails about a delivery waiting for your response to verify address?

Every outfit you can name has sent me a notice that no one is home when they attempted a delivery.

Imagine that, I sit here over looking the street to the house and they must have those new driverless invisible vehicles.

What's the latest Scam you all are experiencing?

That one plus a scam that has almost claimed to be every major business telling me I have won a $50 dollar coupon or some other item and all I have to do is pay shipping and handling. Just give them my credit card number!

While watching a youtube fishing video the other day my Chrome book locked up and a voice told me I had been hacked. I was told to call Microsoft and they would walk me thru the steps to unlock my "computer". AS you may know a Chrome book does not use Microsoft as an operation system. I turned off the Chrome Book and restarted and all is fine. There are many ways we can be scammed so be careful so many of them appear to be legitimate.

Papa same thing happened to me, had to remove my battery to power down and works fine now.

Hey guys. Let’s take a moment to look at who posted that. Every reply he has ever made is both Confrontational and full of Negativity. I feel that he uses this site to spread his political view points. I wonder if he even fishes!!

Yes, don't do anything or call any phone number the bad guy says. if you do, they stay in control. Shut everything down and off the internet. They loose control. Got this from a local computer repair outfit. FIXED! I wish there was a penalty, ultimate price that could be done to those who do bad things to others besides a slap on the wrist!

DC, I still don't see it. The Topic is " Latest Email Scam " . Jeremy post Karma without hitting quote reply and the question by a few is we would like an explanation to who or what he is referencing. There was no ill intent by anyone, just confused and obviously by more than one person. Better to ask a question than assume what anyone means.

He gets all defensive, brings up his concerns from long ago and references other unrelated post. If one can not be a little more civil when asked to clear something up, perhaps replying to a thread should be avoided.

By the way YOU posted a question mark. Meanwhile you claimed to ignore my post it's a really simple post and it was SPOT ON actually. Any of you that get scammed after so many warnings on how to avoid it are to blame.

As usual you said one thing ( I ignore Jeremy because we butted heads for the last 2 months ) and did another. Posted a ? 2 months really? When was the demented group that kept denying a fact of what a term meant? 2 months. Wow anther false statement. I am not a bit surprised and come to expect it from you. I don 't care if someone believes in karma or not but when some things happen it's an easy obvious force that caused it. I see how someone acts and Karma is perfect example of why something happens to them. Fake nice people are not really nice no matter how fake they act. No matter how hard they try to make someone else look bad when they are the culprit. It's called FAKE. Ignoring something means you don't go on and on about how Karma has nothing to do with getting scammed on an email. Anyone today that gets scammed by email deserve it. That could easily be karma too even if they think it is impossible for any or all of their own bad deeds to catch up with them.
