That was KG's Wife. She had a lot of determination.

The older ones did have a lifetime warrenty. The new ones (GX2) have a seven year warrenty. Still good though. I've been using Ugly Sticks all my life and only broke one. Got slammed in a car door, and they replaced it right away. Hopefully they will tell you to just take it somewhere local to replace it. Good luck.

As I posted last week, my wife broke a rod. And I was going to throw it away. But a buddy of mine suggested that regardless of the cause Ugly Stik would replace the rod if it snapped like that.

Is this true? Worth it to try to contact them about it?

If Walmart has them they will exchange it, otherwise try a sporting goods store.

I think I did buy it at Walmart. Just not sure which one of the three we have in the area, and I don't have a receipt. Or maybe at Bass Pro Shops.

I bought multiple Ugly Stik rods in a short span and at different stores. So no way to figure out where I bought that particular rod.

Do I need a receipt? Or will Walmart replace it just because they are Ugly Stik dealer or something?

I have never needed a receipt.
