That's a really nice 'red', Hack ! And your niece is a very pretty
girl ! Makes me wish I was back in my 20s again ! (Query; is your in-law your wife's brother, or your sister's husband ? Just curious !)
That wasn't a guy, maybe the red was,but that was a pretty young lady, unless my eyes deceived me!
Somebody's mixed up, but I'm not sure which one; you gents are talking at cross-purposes here ! TWO photos are referenced; the first with Hack's niece, the second with 'fishrman's' grand-son, so which one of you is referring to which picture, because now you're confusing ME ! Starting to feel like 'Vinnie Barbarino' !
Sorry didn't see second photo, I'm the guilty dummy!! Tight lines everyone!!

Is that how they brought the population back? I remember years ago it was in serious trouble.

They did that with the trout here 2 years ago but with closing the season for a year. Worked great as per the results of this past summer. Doing the same with stripers and flounder now so wait and see.
Yep. When Prudhomme invented blacken redfish they got overfished quick. Can't blame the chef but they got hit hard. Boys I fish them with in NC are very fussy about how you handle the releases too.
Stripers also seem to be a popular go to here. There is a large lake in N.M. with striped bass. Same fish?
Actually a hybrid from striper and white bass. Can thrive in fresh and saltwater.
