Took my blue tick to the vet to get some urine extracted out of her bladder to see if her urinary track infection was all cleared up. When I left to go home she could not walk. Don't know what happened while they had her in the back room but she would not even take any trees from me. Had to take her back and ended up putting her down. Been a bad evening for my wife. She has been in bed crying all afternoon.

Oh My Goodness, that is so sad Gordon. I am so sorry to hear and know your pain. I know she is in a better place, no more pain for her now, Bless you.

You and your wife will be in my prayers this evening and for a good while. Its so hard to lose such dear family members.

Whew, breaks my heart brother.

I don't care who you are, you have to have a heart of stone to take your 'side-kick' and buddy in and have them put down. Just Sayin...RJS

I think you have to have the kindest of hearts to put your girl first over our selfish feelings to hang on when we know whatā€™s best for our pets.

So sorry to hear about your Best Friend!!!! Being a retired K9 officer I know what it is like to have to put your partner down. Godā€™s speed to you and your wife on this loss. If youā€™ve never had a close friend like a dogā€¦its hard to explain!!!šŸ™

To people that have that connection thereā€™s no need to explain. They know the pain. For us itā€™s like losing any loved one. They become as much of family as family. You are so right cougar. I sure feel for Gordon and his wife. And hearing that takes me back to the fur family Iā€™ve lost over the last 50 years All were special and all still missed

So sorry for your loss. I had a Samoyed that had a terrible urinary tract infection. Kept getting worse and vet recommended he be put down. I held his head as they did this and cried as they did this.
