Praying for your health and recovery. Take care of yourself- we enjoy your stories and knowledge of life. Keep your attitude positive during this time of challenge. God will take care of you and your wife.
Well, thanks for the advice. This and a barrel of monkeys could not keep me down. It is my B/D and I feel great.
I continue to post stories, regardless of their quality. I know some are marginal, and others are better!
I suppose a lot of you don't know I get as much satisfaction out of posting stories as you do reading them!
If I can come up with a topic, I can usually write a page or two on that topic! So, I carry a little book around which I write down topics when they become a thought. That way I have a bunch to choose from. You've probably noticed I have favorites and then there are others, but all have my interest at some level or I wouldn't bother writing it all!
You probably don't know that I've only been doing this since joining Fishing Stages. I never wrote stories, with perhaps a couple of times, before this. I discovered Fishing Stages because of Covid. Just Sayin...RJS
As I have matured, my heart doctor started telling me he likes my blood pressure to be a little higher than "standard". I still occasionally get teh light headed feeling when I stand. So I understand, but do take care. Love your stories

Well that's one thing that all of us on the Stage can be thankful to Covid for😎🇺🇸👍
Robert, I'm sorry to hear about your fall. I'm a few years behind you, so I know that my time is coming when I'll have to worry about the same things that you're dealing with. Like you, my mind is a lot younger than my body which keeps asking me "What the heck are you thinking??"
Maybe we could all chip in to have a suit made for you out of bubble wrap?
Anyway, I'm reading this on Wednesday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT! Keep having them, don't show up at the pearly gate before your reservation!

Yes, When we moved to New York and my wife went to the local supermarket to get normal items to cook our meals she came home almost in tears. She said unless you cook Jewish, or Italian, there was nothing to buy!
So when her parents came up for Chirstmas, they called ahead and asked what foods could they bring, so we asked for a suitcase full of Wolf Brand Chili, Tamales, and Masa Harina, so we could have some home cooked meals, although they were out of a can. Just Sayin...RJS
Bob: We've had an enormous influx of Hispanic folks in the NYC metro area that most supermarkets have a full aisle of stuff to make newly arrived Texans feel at home. Our local Shop Rite has been carrying goat for 3 years now and I'm delighted!

People have got my Goat, but I have not eaten it.
If you have been following my stories for any length, you will have found out that I hate goats. Why? Because when I was maybe three years old, living out in W. Texas, a billy goat loved to intimidate me, chase me, and was a real enemy. So, the only good goat is Cabrito and Cervasa!
Much later, my former partner in the Boat Business we started in Gainesville when he got elderly and his son was running the business, some of Dick's neighbors called his son, "Come quick, your dad is shooting up the place!"
Joe jumps in his truck and rushed out to where his dad lived. "Dad, What are you doing!" Dick, as he reloaded his pistol, said "I am shooting German soldiers!" He had served in the U.S. Army all the way through the Second World War. I don't know about you, but if I had been there I would have helped him reload! Just Sayin..RJS
