No license it's called poaching. You even need your own sturgeon tags can't share those either. More poaching.

The only places you can fish without a license are MUNICIPAL piers. Alameda, Emeryville, Martinez-there are others, but you should check with F&G. There are no rod limit restrictions on these also

California requires every person over the age of 16 to have their own license.

May I add.....No License Required..... ".IF."...Note: U R in a Public Pier or Dock!. "..again, STAY in the. Pier or Dock..if you R out of it, like the beach or land or jetty. ..U need a License..!!!!!......and if U R 15 years old or younger, U do NOT need a License!.....but again stay in the Pier or Dock!.....Tight Lines!
