Looks like the state of Minnesota is under represented on this form. So I guess I would just like anyone from Minnesota to make a quick response to see how many minnesotans we have.
Norski,
I am from Minnesota.
I live in SE Minnesota - I live close to the Mississippi River and fish Lake Pepin a great deal. But I have fished from Pool 2 all the way down to Pool 8.
I lived in Brainerd for a few years, and fished almost all of the lakes around there.
My other MN bodies of water that I have the most experience on are:
Leech Lake
Cass Lake
Winnie
Vermilion
Lake of the Woods
Miltona
Mille Lacs
Pelican
Bemidji
Red Lake
CamT
Loc: La Porte, Texas

Go to the top of page and tap the 3 bars and go to user list, type in your state in the find by location slot
We are seasonal, in the Nevis area, I’m just learning. My partner is a bass fisher, enjoying our first full season after retirement. Do the RV park thing at 8th crow wing.
We are from Missouri.
Lots of us “Minnies” here. Need some answers? Ask someone will respond. Personally, I have fished over 150 lakes here. Mostly metro and north of Mille Lacs.
I'm from Minnesota. Live in Ham Lake but have a summer place on Big Sandy.
I am from Fairfax, Minnesota, near New Ulm. I fish the Minnesota River for Channel Catfish.

Sorry for the delay in responding! Upon retirement, moved from the Twin Cities area to Alexandria, Mn. We live on Lake Mary. Alex is in Douglas County which has nearly 300 lakes. We don’t get out often enough on Mary, let alone trying any others! Probably do more ice fishing than open water.
Hi Norski, Currently I mostly fish Little Birch Lake in the Grey Eagle, St Rosa & Melrose area. I’ve fished Leech, Mille Lacs, Big Sand (N of Deer River) and the river below the dam on Big Sandy near McGregor. Just got back from the Gunflint Trail, Hungry Jack Lake, no big fish. My 2nd son & I gave my 8 year old granddaughter an Ugly Stick with a spin cast reel. Unknown to the adults in the boat she kept count of the #caught, in 2-3 hours she caught & released 14 with the best a 10”, needless to say she was elated.
My partner is a bass fisher, preferably smallmouth. Having problems finding them in most of the lakes around Nevis, MN.
This is our first summer season here since retirement.
We are mostly on Crow Wing lakes, Croiked lakes and Big Sand.
I would appreciate any information on summer fishing, different from what he’s used to in the spring when he used to come up.

Crow Wing county, can’t be too far from Mille Lacs a wonderful lake for smallies.
Thanks, I’ll pass that on, I’m still at the crappie stage. 😂
I am from central MN. I don’t always get to see or post on much on here but I like hearing the fishing reports from here a there
