Well installed starter and all went well
Day before yesterday went out all was good until it wasn’t
Not only did we not get a bite but we had to be towed in again
Thinks it’s water pump now!
It was soo windy n choppy out there so fun (NOT) tow back in!

Coul be a bad gasket leaking into the engine.
Still a lot of work but might get by with pulling the heads and reaplacing the gaskets.
Parts - cheap -
Work - your going to sweat a bit.

Could just be a bad head gasket.
Since it is "shot" you have nothing to loose by taking it apart yourself. Go ahead and try it.
Yes, mistakes will be made but the joy of fixing it will last a lifetime.

This is ancient history Sam. Danger's old boat is gone and he bought a new one. He used it for the rest of the summer and just hauled it out last week.

Thanks sam…i did my “ boat wrenching “ on the FIRST boat i had that died….with a lot of help from the guys and gals on here…i disassembled my first lower unit and replaced the impeller……not exactly brain surgery for the mechanicly inclined, but was a big deal for me ( i own a hammer and i think i could find some pliers around somewhere)

Im done farting around with old boats and hoping every time i go out if im gonna be able to bet back….so like fred said….i went and got a new one.

I love Regulators, probably the best built Center Consoles out there. Twin 400s?
