There is this guy called Jesus. From what i believe he did.

OK. You from Earth?

All the Christians I know including myself and all others that believe in Christianity believe Jesus died to let all us Christians be forgiven of our shortfalls and sins. Jesus proclaimed to be the male son of GOD. Not sure about getting out ALIVE.

But of course I am a down to earth Country Boy. Was a bit arrogant when I was about 18 yrs. old but not anymore.

As I grow older the pains I feel affect my fishing and the techniques I use. Ice found I can't cast deep diving crank baits and flip all day long anymore. Too many broke bones through the years and too many surgeries. Bilateral knee replacement. Bilateral knee revisions. Bilateral fractured femurs, broken bones in hands arms and feet. Arthritis both shoulders.
My solution is Tylenol, aspirin, aspercream, absorbing horse liniment, arthritis medication, cool ties in the summer, lighter rods and reels outfits. Fitzgerald rods and composite reels. Fishing trips are shorter. More comfortable seats in the boat.
Any more helpful hints on making fishing more comfortable would be of help.getting old isn't for wimps.

Seriously, try Penetrex. You can order through Amazon. It is like a horse liniment, only it’s for people.

I would bet that MOST of us on this site have aches and pains EVERYDAY of our lives.
I've got too many pains to keep up with all of them.
I'm virtually deaf
I've got a bad back
very bad right knee and right big toe
left knee isn't great either
something catches in my neck.
then for some reason after makin 300 to 500 casts on any given fishin day my shoulders sometimes get sore.
Think I'll just stop there and have another beer. I still have the strength to lift a beer after a days fishin like today. What more can I ask for?

That's roughly 500 cast +/- an hour for 10 to 11 hours. That equals 12 +/- cast a MINUTE. Not sure I could even do that for 1 hour.

Forget all your aches and pains at least your brain and math is working good.

No question, it is a losing battle, but fight it as long as you can. Miller Lite helps.

Having suffered from RA for years I finally got on edibles and I feel great. Never saw myself where I am today but the edibles are a life saver. Having made 200 jumps and impacting the ground and water my knees and shoulders are shot.

Amen brother! As the old saying states “getting old is not for sissies “. I too find I don’t have the strength or Endurance I once had. But I will not give up. I maybe slower and struggle but I will not stop doing those things I enjoy (fishing, golf, hiking, bike riding). I thank the Lord everyday for the life I live.

I’m with you Papa Keep on keeping on that’s my Motto. When I can’t I’ll find something else to Keep on keeping on Thankful for every day. Pain free or not I’m not giving up or giving in. Fish on my friends

I start off lure fishing at sunrise then after a couple of hours switch to plastic worms or jigs. When I am really tired I will fish with live bait. They all give me results and all can be exciting, some a little less hard on my body.

Think Positive. I told my wife that she can roll my future wheel chair with rod holder out onto the dock and I will be good to go. I just have to be sure the dock has rails in case she is having a bad day. The truth be told, we will need a double chair so I can fish and she can read.

Yep, I will just find a way to keep a line in the water till I drop!!! Just really enjoy the peace and calmness of being on the water, listening to the quiet and critters. Waiting to catch that "biggun" that has my drag screaming!!! Yep, if I was to past fishing on the water, I would be a happy man!

Hey Jim.
I've always said, " Look around you. IF you can't see or know of someone that is worse off than you, then go ahead and complain. Otherwise, BE THANKFUL !"

I feel it could ALWAYS be worse.
