Gas in South Texas is currently $ 3.09. Told the wife this is a good reason to hit the surf more often. She laughed at me, well it was more of a grin, and I knew right away she saw through my smoke screen. She turned to me with a warm smile and said, "honey, you can go fishing anytime you want, you deserve it". What a woman!
Fill her up, going fishing tomorrow morning!
Don't ever let that one get away Padre. Yep a good Woman there!!!!

Sunscreen is my friend Oz. Sprayed down around 10 when the sun was getting warm.
Don’t forget Plum the sun doesn’t have to be out to get a sunburn, those damaging sunburn rays go right through the clouds.
I wear a 50 SPF long sleeve shirt with a hood when I go outside for a long period of time. Just a regular long sleeve for just short outside trips.

You sound like my dermatologist Larry. I either wear long sleeve or apply the lotion around 9 - 10 am when the sun gets cooking.
I Don't mind the arm cancers they haven't been surgically removed as of YET. It's the cancers on the forehead and temple that will make a grown man shed a tear when he applies the liquid nitrogen.
Remember ever thing before we hit the water. But I did forget to tie down the boat when we left. Fortunately I remembered before it became a problem. I did have the safety chain hooked, thankfully
Before you start rolling down the road towing your boat check everything. Then go back in reverse and check everything. You might be surprised to find the second time around you spotted something amiss. I have several times forgotten to lift the little wheel thing after putting the trailer on the hitch
El Rod
I've been broke down more times than I can remember in vehicles during hunting and fishing trips and someone always had stopped to help. In '94 me and my pop took off into the everglades from Francis S Taylor WMA thinking we had 3 hours before dark when the warden locked up the park. Hour later in between spots engine died. Dad headed back with trolling motor while I pulled off cowl and tried to pull start it until my arms burned. Another 2 hours, dead batteries, dark, and mosquitoes so thick it sounded like an airboat. Warden saw our jeep and trailer in the lot, found us hour after dark thirty, and towed us back.
This was before we had cell phones so dad had a serious CB installed and after that we always had two of everything we might need and let someone know where we were going to and when we were coming back.
For anglers new to boating don't think that your cphone is good for fresh water fishing...get a radio
