The night before fishing what goes through your mind as you lay there at 9pm trying to get some sleep? Here are a few things that i lay there and think about.

Did i re tie those uni knots

Tackle bag, is it by the door

How many rods should i take

Where am i going to start top water or jig

Is that thunder i hear

Food, got to have my pop tarts

Should i check on the worms

Wonder if i should call my fishing bud to remind him. Heck it's only 1 in the morning

That is just the tip of the iceberg, my friend…
My mind races through hundreds of thoughts the night before fishing, hunting or going on vacation. Needless to say, I don’t sleep much 😂
Been this way my whole life…can’t change now😂
I will STILL manage to forget SOMETHING, though…reference my 4 minnow buckets 🤦🏼‍♂️

We all go through our personal laundry list of necessities during the middle of the night.
Mine are:
plenty of water and snacks
sun protector and polarized shades
bait, cooler with ice
couple of rods, plenty of hooks, knives, swivels and hardware
Everything else takes a back seat if memory fails.

Gee i wonder why you would think that.

We would go out at sunset in the middle of the Pamlico river in NC just to watch the sun take a dip.

The juice would say turn that motor off so we can enjoy it more.

What motor, i don't here a motor and i am not sleeping out on the river i would say.

" iceberg " For sure OJ.

Yesterday we loaded up Griz's boat in front of my house and sat my floppy hat on my truck knowing i would grab it as the last thing.

Only got a 1/4 away before i said got to have my hat.

Got that right Jar, find a cove, no jets or other fishers near bye and just take it all in. Catching is just a plus.

" laundry list "

Good one padre, kind of like a grocery store list. Lost without it.

I've gotten in the habit of putting EVERYTHING in the car or truck the day before and EVERYTHING I put in my pockets ALWAYS goes on the dinning table the night before.
I usually have more trouble rememberin everything to get out of the boat or Brads truck when we get home.
Don't have too much trouble goin to sleep but quite often I'll wake up after 4 or 5 hours and I might as well get up cause I can't go back to sleep.

I have left my HAT in the truck and gone out on the water without it some mornins. NOT GOOD.
