I think flag etiquette comes down to attitude. According to the rules the Flag should not be printed on paper napkins or paper cups or anything that is disposable and tossed in the trash.
Also the proper way to dispose of the Flag is to burn it. But yet if you want to raise my blood pressure stand out in the middle of the street yelling about what a terrible, racist country America is and burn the Flag.

I'm watching the pre show for the Indycar race and a question came to mind. I thought who better to answer it then you guys. I don't know all the rules and etiquette about the American flag but I thought one was it should not touch the ground. So a guy with a parachute trailing an American flag lands in the infield. Happens in many sports and venues and first to land on the ground is the flag. Why is that ok?
Check out US Flag etiquette on Google. There are lots of does and don'ts. Like flying at night should be illuminated, do not let it touch the ground, etc, etc.

The flag is supposed to be eliminated And the flag is to never touch the ground. Also the flag is to be destroyed by burning it with the up most honor and respect ๐ฑ๐ท๐ฑ๐ท๐ฑ๐ท
You are right about ONE thing you said.
Supposedly images of the flag with motorcycles, rattlesnakes, skulls, etc. superimposed upon it are also against flag etiquette. So are the Stars and Stripes printed on t shirts, bikinis, hats and so forth. You see this stuff all the time. I say let it go.
YOU SAID "eliminated", care to explain?

You know how these phones work and I'm sure you knew that I meant the flag was supposed to have a light on it at night. That was 1 of 3 things I pointed out.

Yep, I knew that, but some countries out there actually want that like Iran, China, Russia etc. God bless the USA. Nothing personal, just pointing out the error, made lots myself.

This wasn't a political question about presidential administrations and the state of our country. Just about flag rules.
Old glory is the single most up front political topic you can speak of. When an administration changes the value and the etiquette of the American flag it fits the topic pretty well. Itโs NOT ok for the flag to touch the ground but it doesnโt seem to matter much anymore to some people. To me? It dang sure does.๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

Also it is more than how to use it, most people don't know that there is a special way it is to be destroyed when it is too deteriorated to display.
