Well the wind gusts were 15+mph, and the water's getting warmer. 79.5° when I got there, and 81° when I left. There were a half dozen Bassboats there today and they spotlocked on the deep humps. Between them and the wind I couldn't fish the deepwater spots so I had to stick to the blowdowns and the banks. Only one Largemouth dink in the north coves, and a 1lb Smallie off my tree cove. Went down to the 3rd Island and got a 1.5lb Largemouth, and missed another. Went back up to my tree cove and worked every angle. Got rewarded with the fish of the day, a 2.75lb Largemouth. Worked the rest of the Northwest shore back to the North coves. Got bit off by a big toothy critter in a Main lake cove along the way. He took line 3x before shredding the leader. That was the last action of the day, so I called it and came home.
