Well the wind gusts were 15+mph, and the water's getting warmer. 79.5° when I got there, and 81° when I left. There were a half dozen Bassboats there today and they spotlocked on the deep humps. Between them and the wind I couldn't fish the deepwater spots so I had to stick to the blowdowns and the banks. Only one Largemouth dink in the north coves, and a 1lb Smallie off my tree cove. Went down to the 3rd Island and got a 1.5lb Largemouth, and missed another. Went back up to my tree cove and worked every angle. Got rewarded with the fish of the day, a 2.75lb Largemouth. Worked the rest of the Northwest shore back to the North coves. Got bit off by a big toothy critter in a Main lake cove along the way. He took line 3x before shredding the leader. That was the last action of the day, so I called it and came home.
Little 1 pounder
Long skinny 1.5 pounder
Chunky 2.75 pounder, fish of the day.
Nice day Fred, thanks for sharing your pics!

Not a darn thing wrong with that day on the water. Next time out you will probably be out there on your own.
That’s a good day. What kinda toothy critter?

Thanks Mike. It had to be a big Pickerel, as there's no Pike or Tiger Muskies in there. I've caught 3+pounders in there before. It pulled nice and took some drag 3x, but when the leader popped, it had the tell tale shreaded end.
Nice going fred , I’ll have the fish of the day please
not a bad day Fred,I'd rather fish in the rain than the wind. Thanks for pics
