Saturday, around 2:00 A.M. I went to the bathroom as most old men have to do often, but
when I got back in bed, I had a feeling in my chest as if I had been trompt on by an elephant!
Try as I might I could not go back to sleep on the flat of my back. I then got up and moved
to the den where I could adjust my chair.

I tried to rest and wait until my wife waked up. Around 8:00 she gave me two Tylenol for the pain
but it didnā€™t help. So, we go back to Scott and White Hospital, who admitted me after a ton of
tests. They determined quickly it was not a heart attack, but were trying to puzzle what did
cause my intense chest pain.

It is now Sunday afternoon, and they think it was either a small clot in my lungs or fluid around
my heart. If a clot, was probably dissolved by the saline drip with blood thinner, and more likely
Irritation from the electrode of the pacemaker.

Last night was pure torture, before they were drawing blood every three hours, around 12;00
This was changed to every hour! Now, if this had been only one jab, it would have been more
tolerable, but that didnā€™t happen, to my count it took an average of 2 times per draw! This
morning both arms felt I had climbed a tall yucca cactus with a porcupine under each arm!

Yes, it sounds like I am a crybaby, and maybe I am, but was as close to ā€œDeath by a thousand cutsā€
as I want to get. I just ask you to wait until you have had a similar experience.

Resting now and have hopes of going home tomorrow! Just Sayingā€¦RJs

Bummer, get well soon and get home! Being a pin cushion is no fun, when I was in a while back it got so bad they had to get a guy with a echo gram to find the vein and guide the needle after 6 fails. Get back to Smilin!

RJ, with the history of your recent visit to Hospital after your fall and your age, in my opinion you need to get to the hospital and not wait. I think you should not dilly dally around any more. You only have one life and a mistake will be very hard on your family. I am glad you appear ok. Seems throwing a CLOT after visits is common. Be careful my friend.

Sorry to hear bout your rough night. Hope tonight is a restful one and you get to go home tomorrow. Prayers for you RJ.

Saw1: Well, first there is a difference in the spelling, javelin is a thrown spear, and Javelina is a small picarry (pig) that weigh 40 to 60 pounds. If they had caught him on the ground they would have eaten him alive! They are ambivorous, or that means they will eat anything!

I have been in the middle of a herd on the ground, but was well camoflaged and hidden among some mesquite bushes. If they had know i was there, I only had six rounds in my rifle and 6 in my pistol. Hopefully, I would have been able to fight my way back to a deer stand.

You might like to read a story I posted some time ago, I think it was titled Javelina Tamales on the halves. Just Sayin...RJS

Yeah RJ, I know the difference between the 2. I just accidentally dropped the A at the end of Javelina.
Was also thinkin at first it was just 1 Javelina , not a herd. Would make a BIG difference.
They are pretty mean little suckers. I was raised in Texas so I'm familiar with them.

Kerry:The consensus was my problem was a result of irritation around the heart wall due to the pacemaker electrodes being attached. My pain is gone and they are releasing me today. Just Sayin...RJS
