Guns don’t kill people - people with mental issues kill people. Let’s do more with ‘mental health’ to stop the needless killings. Never seen an unmanned gun do unnecessary harm.! MENTAL HEALTH - MENTAL HEALTH - MENTAL HEALTH. Said my piece!!
Prayers to the victims and friends and family. May the violence stop.
Hunt, I met to put in there it was children 7-8-9yr Olds, plus the teacher. He also shot his own grandmother earlier that morning.

Schools are to easy to enter, yes mental health is the problem but I think we need fences and one or two gates to get into school grounds with armed police officers. This country has the money to do this and it must be done.

Said he was 18? Probably years if being bullied and abused. God have mercy and be with those that are mourning.

Had it been my child ,I'd do his parents in a heartbeat, this is not acceptable as mental health, Fu#+ the Parents if they could never see something wrong,,
now is the time to come togeather and as a nation grieve with and support those who have lost love ones. in the weeks ahead once the facts are all known then will be the time to see what lessons can be learned and what meaninful things can be done to lesson the chances of this happening again.

This will be unpopular on this site and may get me blacklisted. I don't hunt but do not have a problem with people that hunt and eat what they kill. I like meat just don't have the heart to shoot em. I fish, catch and eat, and release the rest. Back to the guns. Most gun owners will say it's for self defense. But rarely do you hear a self defense shooting. You hear about family members being accidentally shot. And you here a heck of a lot more mass shootings. Guns don't kill people, people kill people? If that guy today didn't have a gun 18 people would still be alive.

evil will always find a way to do evil, be it a car mowing down children and old ladies in a parade, or an exploding pressure, or commercial airline . the problem is not the means but the evil with in the person who commits the act and that my friend what the people of this great nation need to address

Many people have died from knives, swords, arrows, bats, etc. Readers digest came out with, "ways people die in America". The number one place was the hospital, second is the roads. Where do you think they found gun related deaths? Right after 'toilet drownings.' Yep more small children play in the toilet, fall in, and can't get out, and drown. You don't hear about them, because the news media, doesn't think people want to hear about that. And NO, most gun owners do not say its for protection. Sorry mistred, not trying to start an a fight of any sort, but the bad guys get the end result of a well armed good guy. Once again you don't hear about it, due to the media.
Really, toilet drownings? People die in hospitals because they're sick. Knives yes, people die of stab wounds. Swords? Are we living in Medieval times? Arrows? Bats? In mafia and gang movies bats are used. Be more specific than etc. Car accident deaths are part of our everyday life. Don't blame accidents. And don't use the fake media excuse, it's tired and old and nobody wants to hear it anymore. Give me a good reason why assault rifles should be available to the public. Harris, why should any person have a gun more powerful or destructive than the police officer on the street whose job it is to protect you and you're family.
I am a lifelong hunter. I have a few guns for hunting, as well as one for concealed carry…mostly to protect my dog in case we ran into a bear, or a pack of wolves while hunting.
What I do not understand is how easy it is for people to purchase what I consider as a Military platform or styled weapon. Why do people feel the need for a gun with a 30 round capacity? What good can come from this?
Someone before mentioned that video games have de-sensitized a lot of the young people, and I couldn’t agree more.
My Brother retired as a Counselor in a Prison in CA. He did the entrance interviews when the prisoners arrived on Day 1 of their sentences. He read their files, explained the where, why and how it was going to be for them for the next 10-30 years, etc. He told me that everyone is in denial, their Lawyer is going to get them out, etc. The guy they just killed will come back to life as if he had a reset button. He called it the video game mentality.
Movies, video games, bad parenting, TV shows, news coverage, broken families are all to blame.
I am not an overly religious person…I believe and love God, but I believe we all need to go back to church to help us put things in perspective.
I pray this tragic behavior comes to an end.
