Out in the Gheenoe fishing Saturday with my wife. Beautiful day, first fish was caught before daybreak. Towards the end of the day I sent a Gold Johnson Sprite into some mangroves about 25-30 yards away and got hung up. I gave it a quick yank hoping to get it back easy. The only thing I saw was that lure coming straight for my face so I raised my hand up and well… I guess you could say that I caught it.
Sunday evening we were at a spot called Blind Pass and it was non-stop action and while removing the lure from a Snook my wife caught the fish thrashed once and I got hooked again. The people at ER couldn’t believe I was back again. All kidding aside the weather was perfect and the fishing was fantastic! I love living in Southwest Florida

Dang Willi, that bust just looking at it. A pair of gloves might be cheaper than the ER visits.

Happened to me once, Willi, when my d.mb .ss tried to take a trebble out of a pissed off lingcod's mouth! Only the 2 out of three hooks were located in my index and middle fingers, and I was able push the tips/barbs out the other side, and cut them off, and keep fishing. Can you say "Throbbing pain"!!?? Glad you got medical attention.

Wow WilleT same hand twice. Seen many get hooked but never twice in same day. It could of been worse brother. Always wear good eye protection. Those suckers are buried. Better luck next time 👍🎣🎣

Can anyone think of a good reason to wear safety glasses, especially with multi hook lures?
Willi dammit that hurts me looking at those photos. Did you read the MSDS on those hooks? Good luck healing up😎👍

Last Summer here in the river running juglines by myself, I was removing a 6 pound catfish from the upper hook, as I put it in my live well another one yanked a #9 J hook knuckle deep, middle finger. I'm stuck with that, another fish on, 1 of 12 jugs left, all swimming with fish Ok I reach in my left pocket for my folding buck skinning knife and cut the line from the J hook and finish my juglines all with large fish on, I'm bleeding, swollen and hurting. I boated 17 cats and the monster 100lb flathead had bit hooks on two different juglines, he was stronger than I was until I tied him to the boat and let it pull me around for 30 minutes, his head barely fit my net. But I hossed it in, now I'm excited, trailer the boat and my brother drove me to the hospital. The good part I had a pretty doctor operate on my poor knuckle
I'm still sore today. You my friend got double the fun!
