Out in the Gheenoe fishing Saturday with my wife. Beautiful day, first fish was caught before daybreak. Towards the end of the day I sent a Gold Johnson Sprite into some mangroves about 25-30 yards away and got hung up. I gave it a quick yank hoping to get it back easy. The only thing I saw was that lure coming straight for my face so I raised my hand up and well… I guess you could say that I caught it.
Sunday evening we were at a spot called Blind Pass and it was non-stop action and while removing the lure from a Snook my wife caught the fish thrashed once and I got hooked again. The people at ER couldn’t believe I was back again. All kidding aside the weather was perfect and the fishing was fantastic! I love living in Southwest Florida

Thinking about going barbless now ? Glad you had the reaction time to save hooking your face.Instincts like that are valuable, and a necessity for a baseball infielder or an angler. Also was happy to see you didn't end your post with " to be continued...... "

Jeeze Willi, be careful out there! I've been stuck a couple times over the years, but twice in 2 days would definitely convince me to debarb my hooks. Glad you survived, just watch out for infections.

Dang Willi, your pic made the hair on my arms stand up. Hope your home by now having a cold one.
That looks like it hurts. Makes me cringe just looking at it. Hope you heal up quickly and don’t have any problems
Once a Shortstop…always a Shortstop?
Those make me consider barbless hooks!
Glad I'm not the only one that's happened to! I got snagged at the river and yanked and my lure went right into my leg!
Thanks for your response’s. I typically don’t hurt myself like that. To be totally honest the part that hurt the worst was getting the lidocaine injections. Holy Cats!! That’s painful.

I hurt even looking at this.
Consider treble hooks as unstable dynamite. I have had many #18 trebles for trout glue themselves to my fingers ...
Be careful . OUCH
OMG OUCH!!! That’s gonna leave a mark. Hope it heals quickly.
