I agree all good statements wouldn’t it be a perfect world if those that post good ideas practice what they preach?

Have a great day.

And here we go again. A user like you can take a nice thread to place totally un called for when we are trying to improve the way information is shared.

Time to bury the hatchet Jeremy, What say you?

Just curious Jeremy. Why is it that you always feel the need to try to start an argument with a lot of us on here? That’s a red flag for insecurity issues. And why are you afraid to hit quote reply? It’s not a big deal and just reduces confusion. Good points made, good conversation going and you pop in and try to make an argument issue out of it. Just wondering why you do that is all. Enjoy your plan😉

I am not sure if this is 6 and 7 or 7 and 8, but whatever.

# Please read the full post before responding, to be sure you are answering the question asked.

# keep in mind that this site covers a big area and a lot of fishing scenarios. Just because something is considered wrong or even illegal in your area or body of water, does not mean that is true in the area the poster is at. Please don't respond with an attack. Ask for clarifications, you may learn something.

I'll go sting on #1 n #6. I've seen some really uncalled for comments. Also seen too many ask for info n never let anyone know if it helped or they even got it. 👍

Yea been on receiving end of some pretty uncalled for remarks.
Don’t say nothin on here you wouldn’t say to my face. We will get along just fine.

You are welcome JMW, some good add on replies and all thoughts are appreciated related to the topic.

This is one of those rare topics that should stay on course and hopefully not end up elsewhere.

My only thought to add is to remind folks to put their location in the profile so we can figure out where you may be referring to. This might trigger an earlier response to your question.

Do you have a tip for the newbies checking out the FS and a refresher for the old timers?

Here are a few i can think of.

1st is read the rules and be kind on your replies.

2nd Keep the personal information in the PM section. This site is nation wide.

3rd Narrow down your fishing location not just bla bla river by the dock.

4th When you respond to a post use the quote reply, helps to follow the post easier.

5th Keep the politics on other sites.

6th When you ask for information a Thanks would be appreciated knowing the information that took time to share was received and read.

Good for the reminders and on top of all of that has anyone else noticed that admin or someone has listened to us about all of those starter subjects that they were putting on the stage have stopped and it is actually stage members that have been putting all of the posts on for the past couple of weeks.
Thankyou admin for listening to our comments. We do have plenty of contributors that are very knowledgeable and those that have great questions to keep this forum going.
Thanks for all of those that contribute.

Great message Plum, but I agree with Charlykilo. These should be introduced at sign-up time, Attention Admin.

As far as questions go, and I'm speaking mainly in freshwater, a hotspot is only that way when there's lots of fish, but few fishermen. When you ask :Where, when, what bait, you are asking people to give you information that they spent a lot of time, effort and money to acquire. You want to jump to the head of the line without putting in the effort to learn these things yourself. If you want to become a serious fisherman, you must learn about your prey, their habits, and behavior. Most can be applied to everywhere that species lives, anywhere in the country.
Most importantly, if someone gives you useful information, by all means, they deserve a response, and a thank you, for making your attempts that much easier. Otherwise you may see less and less being forthcoming.

THIS IS NOT SERI OR ALEXA!!!

Boy howdy, Fred. You're singin from my book here about sharing specifics. Maybe trust that info offline with a good buddy, but posting it is asking for a line of folks clammerin to catch fish easily. I put that kind of "priveledged" fishing in the same box with staring at a video screen to catch fish. Sorry, I don't go catching. I go fishing. It's all about the experience for me.
