Your problem could be that there is way too much line on the reel. Pull off 30 to 40 yards of line and see if the line still comes loose. If not, clip the excess line off and then tie on your "bait."

If the line was on it when you bout it replace the line, hard telling how long it has been on the reel.

Too much line on the spool is usually the reason. Fill spool to 1/8th of the lip of the spool.

That's the line memory it will go away after a little use and take the memory of the Reel spool

Several things - you could have too much line on your reel. (Take off 10-30’)
The line is too heavy for your reel. (Strip and put on lighter line)
The line is twisted on your spool. (Take off all the line on your reel by laying it on a football/soccer field or park and reel back on. Having it trail behind a boat is ideal.

I've seen that problem several times but it was caused by the line being spooled on incorrectly. You've got enough help now to completely confused. Get it fixed, you're wasting fishing time. Good luck.

One thing is you are filling your reel backwards. Mono line has memory. It must reel on your reel the same way it comes off the main filler spool. When you first start filling the reel let your line go slack if it twists up turn your filler spool over, I have a piano bench with a low cross bar. I place my filler spool against the cross bar and next to a side bar. when I reel the filler spool spins away from me the mono lays on your reel with correct memory. Good luck
