Here in Minnesota, not many people are going to make a boat ramp, The Modern OK Corral. As most people that fish after dark, are also hunters and have more fire power then the police force. Many of the ramps also have lights, some even have cameras that go to local police stations.

I've been to alot of ramps on the Potomac n the Susquehanna river none have lights or cameras. All are isolated. So far only heard of one physical attack. Many vehicles vandalized or broken into. Items stolen off trailers. If you're out on a boat they know when you're coming in. Someone on site got hit not long ago. Lost alot of things. Just more common people out there than nessasary

To many people with guns! Can't we all just get along?

According to the news I'm thinking the answer is no too many bad people with guns

Never ever tell the enemy what your plans are!!! I have never pulled my weapon out on someone first, that is what some would call a threat.
Papa bear, you might know people in the crime lab in Anchorage, some are my friends. I worked at GNorthernG. I lived in Anchorage. Many of the police know me in that little town.

Well there are many "good" people that don't have any business having a gun!

So what are you going to do with your friends shoot somebody because they yell at you or a warning shot to let you through come on now Im just wondering don't shoot😌✌

No, nobody here is going to shoot someone just because they see things differently. No one suggested that but you. But if the other guy launches a physical attack, we're ready. Some of us have age or physical reasons why we can't fight back barehanded, so just like any other job you need to do, you bring along the tools you'll need. That's all a firearm is, a tool.

Why is that! I have a question for you now. Do you or anyone you know drive while legally intoxicated or use your phones while driving. If so then your chances of killing or injuring someone is far greater than a permit holder is.

Uh..... I thought that this thread was about boat ramp etiquette?
and weren't the permits that the 'permit holders' that Griz mentioned for guns?

Anyway, you're absolutely welcome to have any opinion you like on any issue, but don't make a personal attack on anyone here, OK?

Save your breath Barney. Talk about paranoia. It's not us. Paranoia is believing things that aren't true. So I take it when I see n read about all the violence going on in this country is all lies. If so then I've been right for a long time. The media is full of it. If it's so safe why does those in high places need armed security. Kinda hypothetical isn't it 🤔. I have life ins car ins house ins. Those that feel the world is so safe shouldn't have home security system. I believe everyone has a right to their opinions but don't act like some of us are the wild bunch reserected. I never said a thing about pulling a gun on anyone. If a good guy with a gun does something bad then it's clear that he was a good man in the first place. Obvious nobody is going to change their opinion I done beating this dead horse. I don't have to justify myself to anyone on this earth. They don't have to justify themselves to me. I'm not everyone's keep just those I consider brothers n sisters. Stay safe brother 👍👍.

The anti-gun folks say that all life is sacred, so we shouldn't arm ourselves.
My answer is "What, all life except mine?" The only way I'll ever present the muzzle of my gun to anyone is if they're a clear and immediate threat - but if that's ever the case, I'd have no more remorse than if I'd swatted a bug.
