Yesterday went to put boat in after preparing to launch….there is a one lane road leading to ramp and where pay station is located. Two guys I guess had stopped to pay and then decided to get their boat ready right there blocking access to ramp…. They just looked at me, went about the task and never said they were sorry or were in a hurry. I didn’t say anything thing since there were two of them an one of me….I guess it is their world and people like me need to try and live in it… 99% of the people I meet fishing are the salt of the earth and friendliest folks you will ever meet….then there are the 1%….

It is incredible how self-centered some people can be.

The other one that I find, is a family has a boat tie to the dock while waiting for hubby to go park truck/trailer they have zero idea about how to operate the boat. I told several families what if he falls overboard, or gets hurt and can not operate the boat.
I had knee replacement, two months later doing a fishing guide trip. I was launching my boat, two others tied to the dock waiting for boat operator. I'm alone launching, with six boats behind me, two ramps. I use my 15 ft. car tow rope for launching, boat floats off trailer, I tow boat to the ramp. I disconnect rope from boat. With no place to park boat, I leave it as far to the side of ramp as I can. Most people drive 3 blocks to park trailers. I found a spot 40 yards, from my boat back boat in disconnect trailer from truck as required in this lot. park and return in 4 minutes. others are upset with me. BUT< the other boats I was waiting to move were still sitting there not moving. I go to get into my boat another starts bitching at me. Knowing he is another one of the wake boat people. I told him go back to your truck, or I will sit on the ramp and wait for the dock to open, to meet my clients.
As he cocks arm back as if he tries to intimidate me. I tell bozo, if you think thats going to get me to move faster. you're wrong. Either throw that bunch or walk away. If you bunch me, I'll own you for life, I have better lawyers then you. I told him I could have sat, waiting to have a dock spot, but decided to get boat in water and ready to go. He still had not gotten boat ready for launching. As tie downs were not removed, all other gear was still in the back of his truck. What a fool. His wife yalls' at him, I turn push my 18ft glass boat out and float out 200 ft for my clients to show,

That just get you put in prison. Because someone does not do what you want? For what to go fishing or boating?

I've fished from one shore of this country to the other. Idiots abound . I've seen drunks and dopers on the water. I've lost two friends due to boating accidents one just this weekend when two boats collided in the rain. I've walked away from more arguments as my grandfather councled. In my adult life I've only had three fights . One was in a motel against a robber and the others chose to hit me they all three lost. My advice is patience and I only fight as a last resort.

Greetings. I have always felt it is better to have Mr. Colt, Smith and Wesson, or for my purposes now, Mr. Sig Sauer handy, than not. If you need one of these gentlemen and they aren't handy, you may never need one again. If you do have them handy, then if a disagreement gets 'hot' you have at least an equal chance!
