I lucked into this one at dusk on a neighbor lake in Winter Garden, Florida. Inhaled a wacky worm rig on my last cast (it was my fourth “last cast” of the evening). Fortunately a fellow angler was there to help me land it. He also had a pocket scale so it weighed approximately 7.5 lb. Florida considers bass over 8 lb worthy of recognition so naturally I released it to fight again. Hopefully a young angler will tie into this or in a year or two.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. That was my first post. I want to reemphasize that if I had not been assisted by another fisherman I probably would have lost the fish and been left with nothing but a story of the one that got away. I wish all of you the best of luck during coming fishing year. May each of you post a photo of your lunker catch.

AzRando71: Dont worry about your posts, just keep 'em coming. We all have a thing or two to learn yet. No one had learned it all. While it maybe a surprise for many. Just Sayin...RJs
