Had a boss tell me one time “ be careful whose toes you step on, they may be connected to the butt of the guy who becomes your new boss someday”

Exactly Ben. The Co op i mentioned earlier became the lead Mechanical Engineer and designed 99% of the projects i worked on.

I worked side by side with her and She was the boss in how it got fabricated.

I have always said there are those we work for, and there are those that we work with.

Odd part was, it was never work when one enjoys what they do.

I’m fitting in just fine.
I’m a hard charger and they caught on right away that I’m the real deal.
Company is experiencing rapid growth faster than they can fill positions
They told me about a $5k bonus for recommending engineers.
I know a lot of guys but I’d consider them “slugs”
Then last night I got a linked in message from a young lady named Jamilla
Young African American Female that I worked with in the past when she was an intern.
I worked a couple projects with her and while driving back from Fort Wayne Ind one day, I called my manager and told him to hire her because I recognized she was special.
She didn’t disappoint. In fact she’s a rock star engineer for being so young.
I reached out to her via linked in and asked her if she was interested in coming with.
Long story short , I talked to my manager , the president and finally HR
HR lady connected with her while I was still at her desk.
Boss started talking the bonus , I said I’m not to worried about the money right now , I just want you to have a very talented young engineer on staff and to throw a lifeline to a sweetheart of a lady who’s going down on a sinking ship.
She earned my respect years ago and am hoping to pay it forward.

yes it is a great way to pay it forward ---- but $5K does buy a fair amount of fishing gear!

Feels good that good gets rewarded doesn't it? Good on you!! A+++++ Glad to see it working out like I think all of us were cheering for. If you are quiet next time you fish, you might hear the cheers if you listen closely. Nice.
