Then last night I got a linked in message from a young lady named Jamilla
Young African American Female that I worked with in the past when she was an intern.
I worked a couple projects with her and while driving back from Fort Wayne Ind one day, I called my manager and told him to hire her because I recognized she was special.
She didn’t disappoint. In fact she’s a rock star engineer for being so young.
I reached out to her via linked in and asked her if she was interested in coming with.
Long story short , I talked to my manager , the president and finally HR
HR lady connected with her while I was still at her desk.
Boss started talking the bonus , I said I’m not to worried about the money right now , I just want you to have a very talented young engineer on staff and to throw a lifeline to a sweetheart of a lady who’s going down on a sinking ship.
She earned my respect years ago and am hoping to pay it forward.
