Simply rub hands, fingers, wrists with white Crisco sold in cans. Then wask with dish detergent and hot water. This works and is simple.

Will wearing gloves help prevent hands from smelling like fish, for example my hands stink after cutting up squid for bait and I really want to prevent this. I could try wearing disposable gloves but would prefer to know if this actually works because I could buy a proper lasting pair of gloves instead of being wasteful. If so, what type of gloves would work best?
Thank you.

Does anyone know how to prevent hands from smellin... (
show quote)
I use fresh lemon for my hands
Toothpaste takes away the fish odor.
Use All laundry soap for all nasty hand cleaning. I work with my hands every day and they get seriously dirty. I grabbed laundry soap and was amazed at the results. Grease, dirt, caulking and yes fish guts. I keep the odorless colorless All around All the time. Pun intended
Try blueberry hand sanitizer. No I'm not joking
Simple & effective method is to use Crisco lard. Rub about a tablespoon size dab of crisco onto hands, fingers and wrists then wash off with dishwashing liquid and hot water. They won't smell after that, guaranteed. The crisco binds with the fish oils on your skin and pores and is then washed away with the dishwashing liquid.
