I like the dark blue. Just painted one that way. Used silver on the belly with a hint of chartreuse along the lateral line into a dark blue. I still have the tape on the bill. I think I went a little too dark on the belly but wll give it a try.

Looks like a catcher to me. Dark coloration will be great in muddy water.

Paint it to look like a bluegill. I have good success on cranks for bass here in Michigan.

I’ve got a lure cut and ready for a paint job, I’m going to give it silver sides with scale pattern and a white belly what color should I paint the back. After decided ( most suggested color) I will finish out the lure and pitcher it.

Hi Mike. Good question. I watched a show about that a couple weeks ago. The guy said since most fish look up the belly is the most important part. The top is for the fisherman. I like black that over laps the side just enough to creat a dark spot on a sunny day. 🎣🎣

I love it. I would go with a lighter blue with reflective silver high on side. Great for large Lake trout. Good luck

My two favorite killer colors are fire tiger and rainbow trout pattern in this part of the country. For the salt, I would go with the dark blue shown. Herring and candle fish are the main baitfish here. I would then rig it with single barbless hook to be legal.

Spring time I'd put some red into it bass attack red in the spring but for all around I would have to say green with a yella or orange belly
