They definitely have more of a JDM styling to them and have a really nice power/taper. While they are definitely not incredibly sensitive rods, for ultralight moving baits they are hard to beat.

I’ll get one for my Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG! I really want to start BFS fishing and I got the Aldebaran BFS for $230 off a friend. He had used it for a year. I have the reel so I just need the rod. The Kuying Teton seems like the best way to go!

They are great little rods. I have the 6’ UL and it’s sweet spot is right around 1/8oz. It will load and cast down to around 1/16oz but it takes a lot more skill and a specialized UL reel. On the upper end it will cast and work a 3/16oz popper very well. I have laded up to a 1.75-2lb smallie with it, but it’s not a rod for use around any kind of cover.

No...I will mostly use it around shallow areas, bridges and around marinas.

Daiwa J-Braid X8. But get those thick diameters. The thinner ones aren’t that bad but the thick diameters are great.

Black Max combo. Absolute trooper of a reel gone through hell for 4 years still use it to this day. Dragged in dirt dropped off cars dunked in fresh and salt water blown out the drag (fixed itself) and all but been melted in a fire. She wiggles but she gets it done best $60 ever spent.

Piscifun line spoiler, it's like 30 dollars on amazon. It works for spinning and baitcasters. You can put new line on a reel in about 3 minutes.

I just use a skrew driver, or wrap it once around a water bottle for tension

Life time fishing and hunting license while I was young enough to out live the yearly cost of a license and do some for free.

Bought my son his on his 16th birthday he has already been fishing for free.

If he or I move out of state we can still come back and fish and hunt.

Ks. Is even charging seniors 1/2price for license now.

Except for local lakes you need permits for and deer tags and waterfowl stamps.
