My introduction to them - a dockside bar in Portland, me and a shipmate. 50c apiece as I recall. In a shot glass with a little wedge of lime and some tabasco. Got me hooked. I'll have to look for some hot pepper vodka. Sounds good.
Hot pepper stoli for vodka is good .
I do not believe that that is a clam knife. I believe it is a oyster knife. Clam knifes do not have point. Oyster knives do have point!

I believe you're correct PFC, my mistake. I was mainly complimenting the handle, never seen one like that.

If this knife is used to open clams and the knife slips with holding the calm in your palm and the knife slips there
is a have a good chance of having a serious cut.

My daughter had it made for me. A guy from Italy made it out of brass.

Got some single selects for supper tonight. I know a lot of you are turning up your noses at this but if you are from the coast you are drulling.
Used to eat clams on half shell on way home from Jersey shore with my Dad and uncle as a kid. Then my uncle introduced me to oysters--we got married--the oysters that is.
But four young Oysters hurried up,
All eager for the treat:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shoes were clean and neat β
And this was odd, because, you know,
They hadn't any feet.
I enjoyed oyster stew until one day, as a child, I bit into one, and it was full of greem goo. Now I know that they should be kept in clean water to purge them. I love clams, and remember that ousters tasted great, before I experienced the green paste inside.. I also enjoy fresh mussels. In fact, I don't believe there is any other type of shellfish I've had that I didn't love. So I have to believe thatf I gave them a chance, oysters would be tasty. Now if I could only find an oyster with a black pearl in it.
