Awesome Fredfish. Retirement is awesome.

Tip: Have a plan so you will stay active. Fishing will definetly solve that. Enjoy!

Yeah buddy! Fishing and clearing out my house /stuff in preparation for the move will keep me busy.

For the last year or so, every morning when I get up for work, the little voice in my head says :Enough of this, end it!
Sooner or later I have to listen.

I originally did a poll trying to find the most experienced and overall experience of our stage members. I feel like every year you’ve been into fishing is a year of experience. You may not get out as much as you hoped but you read and watch and continue to grow your skills.

This poll is different, I’m looking for actual days a year with a line in the water? Poll is asking for how many days you fished last year as well as how many on average you’ve fished lifetime.

My answers would be 40 times last year and and 15 times a year on average for the other last 25 years I’ve been fishing. When I was a kid I fished 80-100 days a year easy. Most summer days I fished morning then played baseball and then fished the evening.

Look forward to all of your answers I will compile the data and post results after a couple weeks.

Last year I probably only fished about 52-55 weeks. I went at least once a week, sometimes two a week. This year I’ve probably only fished a dozen times. My health and my wife’s health has limited me. So, I take it a day at a time. I really miss my kayak.

Never have a camera with me. Cell phone says in car. I'm not in it to impress anyone. The best pics are in my head.

I NEVER use to take pics of my fish before I joined the stage. Then as I got to know everybody and they all seemed to really enjoy pics of the fish or the water or countryside, I started takin pics to SHARE the experience with everyone else. Specially those who aren't fortunate enough to go out as much as I do. Some can't/don't get out at all anymore.
Hopefully you will learn to share with those people also. Tight lines brother.Saw1

I only started fishing two months ago but have spent about 25 of those 60 days fishing. I'll keep up that rate until it hits June and then pretty much stop until late September. I'm in South Padre Island, Texas and those summer months are brutally sickeningly hot. You can barely leave the house let alone sit outside in that relentless vile heat trying to fish. I spent most of my life in the UK which makes the heat even more unbearable.

I started taking pictures May of 2017. Not everything, but at least one nice fish caught each time out. Put them in their own File called, Fish File”. 211 pictures in there. It’s fun to review the memories.
