I agree when are people going to wake up and accept the reality who was at fault and who is trying to convince everyone of false information like saying the election results were not accurate? I was awake for 4 years witnessing people threatening Democracy if he didnā€™t win. Everyone should except Democracy instead of going against it. The election was investigated many times. All of Trumps bogus statements have been proven wrong. I agree WHEN will people wake up to reality and stop believing his bogus statements?

When it comes to elections, I have some questions. Everyone says voting is a sacred right. Therefore, by that standard we should do all that is logical to be certain the process is fair, accurate and free of criminal activity.
That being said, what if from the very beginning of voting in the US, you planned for a year to make certain that you appeared on the date in question with proof of who you were. Initially via signature comparison with voter roles. Later as photography came into being, you had a photo ID to produce along with the signature requirement. As populations grew, more accommodating facilities were provided for voting. If you believed in this sacred right and you were not going to be in your district, you requested an absentee ballot, stated the reason for absence and signed and dated the ballot being certain it was mailed in the appropriate time frame. At the designated time, voting ceased unless you were already in the facility when the doors were closed and you could continue the voting process. By the end of the night all ballots were counted and the results stated.

Now lets say some group responsible for the voting process decided to change the system. You no longer needed to verify your signature or produce some type of identification. You could have someone go around to different homes and facilities and collect ballots and deposit them in a mailbox or drop them off at the polling place days or weeks in advance. In collecting these ballots, no verification process was involved. Also, this group could use some type of population list and mail out ballots to anyone on the list, regardless of whether they have already voted or planned on voting. Also, there was no reason prior to the election to determine if previously registered voters had died or moved to another area. With these new procedures, do you think there might be pushback by those that wanted to maintain the integrity of the voting system?

What excuses might have been used by this group in changing the system? We need more time to vote? (Why---you have a whole year to plan for this sacred right, to include how to get to the polls). Requiring a photo ID is voter suppression. How so--need one for driving, getting welfare, many forms of travel, banking, purchase tobacco products, prove you are vaccinated, etc.---who can't get a photo ID if believe voting a sacred right? Cleaning voter roles claimed to be voter suppression by taking people off the voter roles. Only if don't want dead people voting.
How about letting felons vote? If unconcerned about laws of our country, why do they deserve sacred right to vote? If illegal alien, why are some cities going to allow local voting---how long before push regular elections?
Does anyone think that maybe for some, legitimate voting an impediment to getting some people elected?
Has anyone actually checked all the voter fraud that has been documented that "never happens"?

What's sad is there are individuals that truly believe it. Not one individual has been charged with insurrection. The persons that destroyed public property and injured others should be charged with those crimes. Unfortunately the individuals presently locked up are having their rights denied by this government in direct violation of the constitution, while others across the country are walking free for committing similar and much worse crimes. We are getting closer than we have ever been to a complete breakdown of civil society. Which brings us full circle to who are the real insurrectionists.

Constitution, that paper that needs to be Reread..not Rewritten
I wouldnā€™t know where to startā€¦the Presidentā€™s responsibility is protecting the integrity of the Constitution, nothing about the safety of citizens. Our current Administration would have us think opposite and circumvents or ignores the Constitution.
Any person who would have an authority responsible for them or their safety rejects freedom.
Where was the outcry when dems were speaking in support of the ā€œprotestsā€ causing the loss of some 25 lives and over $2 billion in damages? Those were an elected officials supported insurrection (and excuse to loot).
The only person killed in the 01/06 protest was an unarmed female U.S. Airforce veteran shot by a capitol police officer. Had this happened to one of the dems violent rioters that Officer would be facing life imprisonment.
Our forefathers fought and died in our Nations greatest insurrection and stated we would have to fight to keep it,
ā€¦..We have failed in that.

When my daughters got married over 15 years ago she went in and registered with their new name, and new address. Next ellection we recieved ballots in their maiden name. She contacted the election office and told them she had gotten married and was registered under her new name. This went on for the next 4 years we recieved a ballot in her maiden name, she recieved one in her married name and each year she called and told them that she had changed her name and to take her off the roles under her maiden name. Each year they said they would but never did, so after 4 years of this she just quit calling and now for the last 15 years every election we get her ballot in her maiden name that we tare up and toss. Makes me think how many other married women get ballots in their maiden name as well as their married name and actually send both ballots in (remember Washington is a vote by mail only state). How many people die and still recieve ballots that end up being sent back in? How many people move and they still have their ballots sent to their old address and they get mailed back in, even though they no longer live in the state. Any one who does not think that our voter roles need cleaning up does not know how bad of shape they are in. Maybe for starters they should compare the marrage licenses issued, and death certificates and maybe home sales and compare them to the voter rolls to make sure they are kept current. And yes voting fundimental right that needs to be protecting and anyone who is guilty of voter fraud, or messes with the integrety of the process needs to be harshly punished and loose all voting rights for the rest of their life.
